After nearly two decades on Wall Street developing financial products for the largest companies in the world, Jason turned to entrepreneurship for his next career journey. In 2015, he founded DailyPay and pioneered Earned Wage Access, an entirely new category of financial technology that provides hourly workers access to wages they’ve already earned prior to their payday.  What began as an effort to solve a problem for paycheck-to-paycheck workers has grown into a top employee benefit and a global industry, with DailyPay as the market leader.  Jason led the company as Chairman and CEO until 2022, and exited that year at a $2 billion valuation. His work in the category has also been protected by issued U.S. patents and currently he serves as a board advisor to the leading earned wage access companies in Asia, Latin America, and Europe.  

Jason's next company, Salt Labs, was built around another gap facing America's frontline workforce: while workers create enormous value for the companies they work for, they have historically had few opportunities to participate in that value or build long-term wealth through their employment. Founded in 2022, Salt Labs created technology that enabled frontline workers to accumulate a digital asset based on their hours of work. Chime Financial acquired Salt Labs in 2024 for $173 million. Jason became a member of Chime’s executive leadership team that led its $11 billion IPO in 2025.

Today, Jason is the Founder and CEO of Minim Science, a healthcare and life sciences company inventing new food safety technology and serving the needs of the food-allergy community. At Minim, Jason is applying the same entrepreneurial philosophy that has defined his career to a different underserved population: people who live with the uncertainty and limitations created by food allergies. His work is focused on developing technology that can give people greater knowledge, confidence, and control over what they eat and how they live.

Throughout his career, Jason has been recognized for entrepreneurship, innovation, and his work serving traditionally underserved populations.

He has been featured in Forbes, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and Bloomberg, and has been recognized as a thought leader in global finance by the International Financing Review and the Milken Institute.

Time Magazine recognized his work in financial technology as one of their Top 100 Inventions of 2021.

He is an inventor on U.S. patent US11443392B1 relating to machine-learning technology and earned wage access.

His honors include being named one of the Top 20 Digital Innovators in Benefits, receiving the Gold Award for Innovator of the Year at the 2020 CEO World Awards, being named a 2021 CEO TODAY USA Award winner, and receiving the 2024 Excellence in Benefits Award from Employee Benefits News. 

Outside of his own companies, Jason is an active angel investor and mentor to early-stage founders, maintaining close relationships with entrepreneurs who are building the next generation of transformative companies.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jason is active in helping underserved communities through his nonprofit work and community leadership, while also being a financial advocate through the Alicia and Jason Lee Fund.

His philanthropic work has supported organizations focused on representation, equity, and re-entry, as well as initiatives providing free self-defense classes in communities affected by anti-Asian violence.  He is currently on the Board of Directors of the New York Asian Film Festival, which brings awareness to the work of underrepresented filmmakers around the world. 

Jason has also served as Chairman of the Board of SafeSpace, a New York City nonprofit focused on family rights advocacy.
